More and more people are coming down with Covid many have gotten it in crowded airports where no one is wearing a mask and there is no social distancing. The selfish people who refuse to wear masks, get vaccinated, or support testing have no interest in protecting the health of others. It is very disappointing that so many of the comments disagree with your rational and appropriate recommendations.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6582830510204229794.post-7972964016505396742022-06-04T17:16:53.713-07:002022-06-04T17:16:53.713-07:00Completely disagree with your assessments. People are not dying of covid any more than they're dying of the common flu--including people who would be classified in the high risk categories. If travelers are uncomfortable with he uncertainty based on eliminating testing, wear an N95 mask.

I have no love for the airlines, and of course they aren't impartial. However in this instance I completely agree with their request.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6582830510204229794.post-87548356267554055262022-06-04T13:25:56.763-07:002022-06-04T13:25:56.763-07:00With no testing for domestic and outbound internat...With no testing for domestic and outbound international flights, any positive impact from this requirement is dramatically reduced. I left Italy last October and my test process took 1.5 hours and we searched for 2 hours for an open pharmacy who conducted the test. Safety yes but applied with some common sense. I am all for protection for the passengers and the crew but with no testing (or even masking) requirements for any domestic flights or outbound international flights I cannot imagine how there can be any meaningful additional protection by the imposition of this testing requirement. Despite still testing positive after five days he was able to get a doctor's letter saying he could travel. He was completely asymptomatic (and according to the doctor he visited not contagious at any point). I strongly believe that the test requirement should be dropped.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6582830510204229794.post-65859721250311135202022-06-03T10:07:10.098-07:002022-06-03T10:07:10.098-07:00There will ALWAYS be a potentially fatal communica...There will ALWAYS be a potentially fatal communicable disease. Next up: monkey pox! Back in the day: swine flu! Life does (or at least should) go on. How about a compromise: show proof of vaccination, which is the proven No. 1 method of containing the disease, and which is far more effective than masks. If you want FULL 100% protection, simply stay in your house, do not answer your front door to anyone, have your groceries delivered to your front porch, shun humanity, and do not travel.Mark Orwollhttp://www.markorwoll.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6582830510204229794.post-79830921119000638182022-06-03T09:47:02.917-07:002022-06-03T09:47:02.917-07:00In Tokyo I just paid $115, $30 taxi fee, and waite...In Tokyo I just paid $115, $30 taxi fee, and waited VERY nervously for 30 minutes, and on arrival in Tokyo five days
Ago I walked through two miles of lines and then waited nervously for over an hour for results which avoided a 5-10
Day quarantine, what a privilege to travel nowdaysAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6582830510204229794.post-37331262132994796762022-06-03T06:19:02.126-07:002022-06-03T06:19:02.126-07:00I agree with Anonymous!
